I really and truly enjoyed this short holiday story. It may have been a short story, but it was packed with emotions and heart-warming moments. Well done Ms. Stacey! You have the ability to make me feel every emotion that your characters are going through.It's tough enough to fall in love, but when it happens to involve a boss/employee situation, it becomes so much harder. In Rachel's case, if she acts on those feeling....it could cost her her job. In Adrian's case, if he tries to pursue it...he could very well find himself charged with a sexual harassment suit, which could cost him his company in the end. It's a fine line to cross, but if both parties feel the same way about each other, then sometimes the rules are worth breaking.
I would highly recommend this book to everyone!

If you love office romance this is the book for you. Full of passion, desire, and romance. So hot it scorched the page. Great plot with great chemistry between the characters. Loved it. Finished it in one sitting. I will definitely be looking for more by Shannon Stacey.
A good book. Not too long and a good attention getter type book. I liked the new romance between Mr Blackstone and his assistant Rachel. The setting revolved up north around the Boston area with snow and Christmastime joy. This is a warm Christmas time, snowy, cold enjoyable read. Ms Stacey is a great author and I would recommend her book.
This was a very cute Christmas romance and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Adrian Blackestone is Rachel Carter's very sexy boss but she loves her job so you don't sleep with the boss. Adrian thinks Rachel is sexy as hell but you don't make moves on your employees. That is until they get snowed in on a work trip. See what happens after a couple of drinks and some very bad jokes.
I read this once a couple of years ago but never reviewed it. I couldn't remember it therefore had to read it again. It's a cute, feel-good romance that provides lots of smiles and a little eye rolling at how a successful executive and his assistant miscommunicate. I find it ironic. Anyway, it's a short story with a great price, so pick it up and enjoy.

I did enjoy the story because the lead characters Adrian and Rachel didn't treat their encounter like it was just a passing thing. You could tell that they really had thought about and had feeling for each other for a very long time but because of their work situation they both acted professionally.
Once they let their feeling out you could tell the chemistry and fun was definitely there.
The only real issue I had was there were too many instances where one or the other made assumptions that naturally led to misunderstanding.
I absolutely prefer reading longer books but I just really, really like books by Shannon Stacey! She is one of my favorite authors and I have to read her books. Didn't find one that bored me and I'll continue to read her books as long as she keeps writing them.
Anyway, I'm wondering why people don't talk about what their feelings. Just say it. I LOVE YOU. What is absolutely the worst that can happen? The other person may not share the same feeling. Isn't better to know it? Love is or isn't. It doesn't require anything from the other person.
It wouldn't be a story if people were that open. Thankfully this time our lovers didn't wait for decade to express their love.
Yet another happy ending and well written, too.
This is a quick, sweet and frustrating (In a good way of course) story. Rachael is Adrian's right hand, left hand and all inclusive executive assistant that he can't do without. They end up snowbound for a couple of days. They have secretly been hot for each other and now that they are trapped in the same hotel they find themselves in each other's arms. But, what happens when they return to work? What else? Miscommunication. Now how will they make up for it? Or can they? Adrian forgot that he had invited his ex-girlfriend to the annual Christmas party. Rachael's heart is shattered. The ex asks Adrian what is wrong with him for letting her hurt this way. I actually like this ex. Smart lady. The story gets fun and sad and interesting. Quick read. Well written.
